Experience the vibrant Thimphu Tshechu, a festival held in honor of Bhutan’s patron Lama, Guru Padmasambhava, from the 9th to the 11th day of the 8th month in the Bhutanese calendar. Held in the stunning courtyard of Tashichhodzong, it is one of the most beautiful Tshechus in western Bhutan. Beyond its religious significance, it’s a time when Bhutanese of all ages gather in their finest attire to celebrate and socialize..
